Glowing Acai Bowl

Glowing Acai Bowl

It is now super easy to make Acai bowls at home simply by buying organic freeze dried acai powder or by using frozen acai and mixing this with other nutritious ingredients. Traditional acai bowls are extremely high in sugar, so try making this low sugar version at home.

Ingredients

2 frozen banana’s

½ packet of frozen acai or 2 tablespoons of acai powder

¼ cup of almond, hemp or coconut milk  (for super health, try camel milk)

2 tablespoons of chia seeds (better if pre-soaked)

2 tablespoons of activated sunflower or pumpkin seeds

Extra berries (if you want extra beauty qualities)

1 cup of ice

Method

Blend all of the ingredients (except for seeds) in a blender until it is creamy.  Serve in a bowl or cup with fresh berries, seeds and cacao nibs.

Superfood Powers: Everyone knows of the healing properties of acai.  Acai is super rich in antioxidants like polyphenols.  These flavonoids stop free radical attack to the skin, resulting in a more beautiful, glowing skin.
